I was torn between whether i should do Chinese Rainbow Painting or Chinese calligraphy. Both are my favourite art, though i may not know chines rainbow calligraphy that well. They are just so beautiful. For this Visual Journalist photography project, to explore a specific local design or culture, i decided to do Chinese calligraphy. With the aim of using this opportunity to expose this design to the young people, to stir up their interest towards this art and to sustain this Chinese Art even in the digital era in the coming future. After searching through online, i manage to spot one famous local Chinese calligrapher, Mr. Yap Poh Sim. Something interesting about his Chinese calligraphy in the sense that it is not the typical Chinese calligraphy that we always see..which is as below.
